St Giles Cathedral plays host to the inaugural Edinburgh Royal Mile International Piano Series. This exciting and prestigious new concert series will feature all 32 of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas throughout 2024. Featuring exceptional performances from leading UK and international pianists, these concerts will be an unrivalled opportunity to enjoy some of the world's greatest piano repertoire, as curated by our guest performers. Set in the stunning candlelit venue of St Giles Cathedral, with it's newly installed Steinway Grand Piano, this will be a musical experience to remember! St Giles is situated in the heart of the Royal Mile with many bars and restaurants nearby to complete your evening.

About Caroline Tyler
Pianist and composer Caroline Tyler has performed at venues including the Barbican Hall, St-Martin-In-The-Fields and St James's Piccadilly  in London, and the Martinu Hall and British Embassy in Prague. She graduated with a first-class honours degree and a Masters degree with Distinction, both from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Caroline is an artist with Piha International and formerly with the Concordia Foundation. She performs mostly as a soloist but also works with Ensemble Reza and Guildhall Session Orchestra. Caroline is the winner of various piano competitions including the Anglo-Czech Trust Competition, Sir Anthony Lewis Prize, Christopher Duke Piano Recital and Norah Sande Award. She creates original piano music for her own musical gift service, Composify, and has new concert pieces from trios to choral pieces being performed throughout the UK in 2024. Her original piano music is published by ABRSM and EVC Music.
